Hi everyone,


As you may be aware a major rebranding of the trust is taking place at the moment. This will include the adoption of a new logo and website.In order to help our design team we are asking for member's input at this stage to steer them in the right direction. The design team were asked to take inspiration from the club's past and present logos and colours to try to create something original but obviously related to Leeds United.


We would very much appreciate your feedback before we decide final ideas and then we can all make the final decision together.

I prefer number 5 personally. I think it's plain and simple but very effective. Good work Lee and co.

Thanks, I said to the guys to take inspiration from some of our past stuff and i guess they definitely liked the 'smiley' look after seeing these! These are the sort of logo we want though: simple and easily recognisable

Having the 'L' and the 'U' clear obvious letters helps the choice I think

as with Jailhouse, i think we definately need the L and U clearly visable. I like logo 4 if the U bit was more visable.

i cant see past a handbag for logo 5..sorry lol

one comment is that it can seem too close to the smiley badge and could be deemed as copying and lacking imaginagtion. however, i remember lee saying that this was round one and the designers and not the final copy

Have to say I'm not bowled over with any of them (sorry for that Lee, I don't mean to be rude). I probably like 1 or the other similar to it.

If we are going to rip the design completely shouldn't we use the same ethos, they incorporated the the L and U into one logo, shouldn't we be incorporating the T in also.

What about L U S T in the below design.



Or like this but using the same letter setting and having it LUST and sacking the badge off. Or can that be incorporated into I'm not sure.



Have to say my favorite badge has to be the peacock one. Not really relevant but, I like the plain design and the lettering round the outside. That peacock is a design classic as was the smiley badge. And of course the old sock tags pure design classics.

yes this is most definitely round 1 and placidcasual your input is greatly appreciated. This is how we will get to the right logo: votes and comments/suggestions mean that I can go back to the design team and let them know how best to move it on.

We will keep the vote open for a few more days then give feedback and then come back with a few final suggestions that we can take a final vote on

That's probably because I was commenting on the wrong logo number. I meant #3

Thought it might be an idea for us to see them easily on this forum so they can be seen below:

I would like to see some other designs ala Placids suggestion, that don't all incorperate the smiley.

While it is an iconic symbol, we do need something that mentions and centers around the Supporters Trust bit, as to not just get lost in the myriad of other Leeds logos that you see around on matchdays. Needs to be different and eye-catching..

A design with a peacock for example... not many of them about, and you could have the words "Leeds United Supporters Trust" ringing round the logo.... Use the same colours you have above, but get a new stylized Peacock in there...

My two cents.

I tend to agree to a point with both Placid and Deebo in that I feel that the design defo needs the Supporters Trust to be prominent.

First post here and I thought I'd jump in with a solution of my own for the brief.
This has elements of the original smiley on the left which represents the clubs past and a cropped current badge on the right for todays Leeds United. In between is the acronym LUST. I'm not shy of critiscism so jump in with any ideas, this design is flexible.

Grego - I personally think that is a very good design personally. I like the fact it incorporates the LUST part as well as giving a clear indication that there it is to do with Leeds Utd.

Not sure whether there is any copyright issues to do with the bottom right hand corner of your design though.

I think the designs are excellent! Am I right in thinking you spoke with my designer Simon yesterday? If not ignore me. I agree with a lot of the feedback that the 'smiley' road is the most appealing design-wise but we do need to incorporate the LUST into that and your designs I think have pushed this forward well. Thank you very much for putting these forward
