Someone somewhere will no doubt be dealing with the relative rush of new members.
When possible could we have an update on how many we now have?
Thank you.

Re: Membership Update
The last share number issued was 242. Each member has one share and they are issued sequentially.
Before this new "surge" the share number was approx 225.
There will be a lower number of current members as there will some some resignations to deduct and also there will be members in arrears with their subs which you may or may not wish to include for your purposes.

Re: Membership Update
Control of the Membership database and members email communications system is being transferred over to the new acting chairman today following the completion of the required paperwork which hands over responsibility for the data.

Your Trust share number is 242.
Please make a note of your membership share number.
It's always nice to be mentioned in dispatches.
The oft asked question I get whilst speaking to friends about Leeds United Supporters Trust is a simple What is it?
I direct them here http://www.lufctrust.org/ as at the moment I do not have a definitive answer.
This will change in time through more of the same hard graft which has gone into this venture.
Keep up the good work and I'm sure that there will be a steady influx of new members.

Re: Membership Update
The latter point came up at last night's AGM and is a very important one.
I know that within a relatively short period of time that it will be an easier question to answer.
It always seems to be the case that it's 'jam tomorrow' but the foundations really are in place to make the Trust accessible, comprehensible and accountable.
If anyone wants to adopt that strapline I'm sure reasonable terms can be agreed

Re: Membership Update
So, whats happening with the recruiting then?
Is there an action plan with timeline targets?
For my mind nothing was covered off in the meeting. Supercell are you the bloke in the kilt? Steve isn't it.

I thought the recruitment target very ambitious. Setting targets that are unobtainable is counter-productive.

Steve certainly has a plan mate yes and i spoke to him yesterday reference your offer of assistance and the ideas you have so i am sure he will be speaking to you in due course, you could email him on the addy i gave you or pm me your email addy and i'll forward you copies of the emails where he outlines his plans to date.

i agree John and at the outset last november i did say i thought achieving 300 members in the first year would be a success (almost a 50% increase in membership effectively) but i have to admire Steve's ambition and he certainly has the bit between his teeth. Acheiving 500 members by the turn of the year would be an outstanding achievment, can it be done? i dont want to say i doubt it but its is ambitious to say the least, do i believe Steve can lead the recruitment group to such a success? i have to believe it or i wouldnt have approached Steve in the first place

No - that wasn't me
I think that Steve said his target was 500 by the year end. As Jailhouse John said at the meeting that is more ambitious than you think as Trusts generally struggle to reach that amount.

indeed i did, 500 still seems pathetic to me considering our massive fans base
there again,if everyone at that meeting managed to recruit 12 or so people each we'd be not too far short of that amount
Richard, can you send me an email at LUFCSteve at AOL dot com mate, ary says you have some great ideas too
people are still waiting to see what plans the new board have, which i'd imagine will be published when we have a new logo, a new looking site, thus giving us a launch pad
As i mentioned at the AGM, this all depends on how we are able to work with the club itself, which is at this stage looking very promising
Lee I believe will contact them in due course to put forward our plans for Billys and the Pavellion
There is no point pushing recruitment until we have sorted much of the above out, plus I need to action getting certificates and stickers sourced, which again, I cannot really progress until we have a new logo
its all good guys
