LUDO treasurer arrested

It appears that £4,000 has gone out of the accounts at LUDO and there is a danger of it folding unless a new sponsor is found. Is this something that the trust could pick up and see if we could help in anyway??

we can discuss at the next board meeting. i will add it to the agenda. however, surely the club could step in? We could at least send a formal request to the club for their board to discuss

I think that's a good idea. Ken & Susannah Bates appear to have a soft spot for LUDO so the door may be open, or at least ajar?

I think that LUDO is a Regional Members club nowadays. Are the missing funds belonging to the LUDO RMC or from the organisation in some other form ?
Is the guy who has been arrested the Treasurer of the RMC ?

I was unaware that LUDO was a Regional Members club. All I know is what is written in the above article. If that's the case then I imagine the club will be heavily involved already.

Ludo goes back before the time that RMCs existed but it became an RMC at some point.
Maybe it still has some sort of structure outside of the LUDO RMC but there may be problems with the rules governing RMCs funds.

I suppose that all that this means is that anyone wishing to take this forward needs to be careful and needs to be aware of whatever the structure is. Otherwise the Trust won't know what it is getting involved in.
That isn't a reason not to get involved and it isn't a reason not to help.
It is just a recognition that it may be more complex than it appears to be at first.

Rick is absoutely right, does anyone know a LUDO member who might be able to shine some light on the situation for us and whom we may approach with regards an offer of whatever help we can give?

we cant go rushing in as we dont know the full story or the ramifications but we can and should let the members know we are here and willing to help if and were we can.
