The photos have been produced by Andrew Varley at a cost which I wont disclose on here, but my RMC will be sponsoring the first one-although of course if the club reject the idea then we'll have wasted the money.(we'll use them as raffle prizes next LOR so all will not be lost!)

I'll have a budget cost ready for the next meeting, but if necessary I might have a profile printed so the photo is effectively mounted within the frame. This will include the words 'LUST Hall of Fame',the players name and pen picture and of course the new Trust logo-plus the sponsors name as already stated.

Thanks for the update and background thinking. It all sounds like it is going very well and I'm sure there is a load of work involved behind the scenes to make it happen.
Is it early enough to reconsider the use of LUST in the text? The Trust agreed quite a long time ago after a request from Supporters Direct to try to move away from using LUST in such instances. "Supporters Trust Hall of Fame" might be an alternative to be considered.

Rick - although that was considered with SD a while ago, the trust has since changed direction given the fact that the new logo incorporates the name "LUST" in it.

It wasn't just considered - it was a decision which was taken. Of course the board is free to change that decision should it feel that it is appropriate.
I suggest that there is a difference between a logo and using LUST in text.
Are you saying that this subject has been reconsidered, and a decision taken that the Supporters Trust should continue to refer to itself as LUST ?

My thoughts were that the logo would be on either side of the writing so 'Supporters Trust Hall of Fame' would do nicely, and of course the acronym LUST is open to mischievous interpretation.

Just having the words 'Hall of Fame' might though be more desirable to the club,as its hoped we can hold a launch dinner presentation to commemorate the 75 ECF.

I think Ken Bates might prefer your idea Rick Very Happy

It should say Leeds United Supporters Trust Hall of Fame.In my opinion we represent Leeds United fans and that needs to be stressed. The logo should be placed on the HOF but don`t forget logos change, supporting Leeds United doesn`t!!!

Logos and indeed players details change over the years, but the posters/photos can be done in such a way that this can be easily changed.

The wording can be agreed on Wednesday but anyone wishing to have an input can do so on here, and I'll make sure its brought up then.

At the moment I'm going for 'Leeds United Supporters Trust Hall of Fame' flanked by two small logos, sponsors names and the pen picture-in this case Don Revie.

Edit:these are the two photos supplied by AV

Although the Board decision was taken to avoid using "LUST" whenever possible, nobody ever managed to come up with anything to replace it.

SDs point is that LUST could be seen to be unprofessional and a potential hindrance to commercial sponsorship/business alliances at some time in the future.
Bradford makes a good point and if, Mark, we/you can offer Mr Bates an alternative that he might select as being preferable then it is a win-win Very Happy

Thought of that Rick although the sponsors we're looking for are the average fan/fans groups, rather than any specifically corporate/commercial clients as it were-at least thats what I thought the group we were targetting.

The corporates get the chance to drop their trousers at the clubs prospective '75 dinner, where I'm sure KB will be happy to oblige to give em a good spanking Razz

Agreed about the current target (sponsors) market but your Hall of Fame is intended to be widely viewed by ALL parts of the Leeds United Community.
Anyway - I think we are agreeing, approximately.

Yup I think we are agreeing too Very Happy

BIG at the AGM did ask for support for the two initiaves as they were 'by fans-for fans'(or something along those lines),but as you suggest nothing should be ruled out.I would suppose the problem with bringing corporate support initially on the HOF,wouldnt give the 'average fan' the chance to do something for his/her club BUT maybe they could have 'first dibs' before we fire it off to commercial sponsors?

I wasn't suggesting corporate sponsors for the Hall of Fame. I was saying that the argument against using LUST within text was that it can put off corporate sponsors in the future (for future initiatives).

I personally think that Kisnorbo should be in the 'Downs and Downs ' section instead of Thompson plus Riberio is lucky to get a listing over say Matteo, Bakke, Mills or Molenaar.

In the Wilko years Huggy Bear is missing - he was a massive component of our defence.

Is Cantona a politicol ommission?

I will think on over the next few days

Cantona and Matteo were on my handwritten lists but I simply forgot to put them on.Alan Thompson included as he was our captain when we were relegated and for the 15 points campaign, which is sort of how I've done the backbone.

Might have to trim these lists or I can leave them as they are-depends on the available content for the new website I suppose.

I've put Kisnorbo on even though he's barely played a full season and wont be figuring much next either-personally I dont think he's done enough to merit inclusion, but I'll bow to JJ's greater knowledge of Leeds United than me Very Happy
Could do with more for the Valencia list but not sure who to add.

Thanks for the input so far guys

Edit:should I put a condition on that players who are included must have say, played at least 50 games for the club?
